GANS COVID-19 FAQ

GANSG IS NOT CANCELED!

GANS COVID-19 Pandemic Response – Update July 23, 2020

The University of Guelph and the organizing committee continue to closely monitor all reports and travel advisories issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Health Canada, along with the local public health agencies. Please know that we are making decisions based upon the health of our team members, delegates and speakers, while also protecting the health of our greater community. Please monitor this page for ongoing updates. We thank you for your flexibility and understanding during this trying time.

What are we currently doing?

We would like to stress that GANSG is not canceled. However, due to the ongoing restrictions surrounding COVID-19, the organizing committee has ultimately made the decision to offer this symposium exclusively as a virtual event. This includes both the Summit (August 12-14) and the Graduate Student Event (August 11). Our post-summit event on Saturday August 15, titled “Fueling Wellness Symposium” will be also held exclusively online.

As a result of this shift to an exclusively virtual event, our original networking events are cancelled. This includes the reception, gala dinner, and the field trips. Additionally, we have also made the decision to offer reduced registration fees for our symposium, with no early bird deadline.

More details surrounding our virtual platform will be shared in the near future.
